Hi ZX14 adepts,

Can anyone tell me if there's a difference between the seats regarding the building years? Or does the seat fits all years. thx in advance.

I believe they all fit but the seat cowl might not look right if you put a Gen 1 seat on a Gen2 and vice versa.

Ninja was built first-2006. Concours 14 built using Ninja chassis. Concours and Ninja seats are interchangeable. Just switch seat brackets. All sorts of options.
I know for sure.

So, the left one is usable for a 2010 gen1? And the right for a gen 2? I need to know cause i ordered a gelseat and it didnt fit at all for my 2010. So is it possible they used a gen2 bracket? I am gonna sent it back to the factory so i want to be absolutely sure..thx in advance.

What brand of Seat do you have?
All zx14 seats are interchangeble. Starting in 2012 Kawasaki widened the butt-stop portion.
If the seat latches OK, then try it out and see if you like the foam support. After a few miles/days you will forget about the gap.
One Gap along the edge is for the helmet strap hook. 2nd photo is gap for passenger hand strap.

3rd (back) location is for Concours C14 luggage rack arm.

I need to know cause i ordered a gelseat and it didnt fit at all for my 2010.

My Saddlemen seat for 2008 also has a gap at the back edge of my 2008 bike. Seat cowl was very tight too like the pillion seat was a little too thick.
